How We Review

We evaluate operators and their offerings based on publicly verifiable information. This page describes how we conduct those assessments, what we examine, and what remains outside our scope.

What We Verify

Our reviews rest on information that operators publish themselves and that can be confirmed through industry sources. We examine the terms and conditions, responsible gambling features, game library, and user interface. We verify claims about deposit methods and withdrawal processes by testing them where possible. We do not independently verify an operator’s corporate registration, licensing authority, or jurisdiction—that information appears on the operator’s own website, and verification can be completed through the appropriate regulatory register if one is public.

Because gambling regulation in the United States varies significantly by state and category (sports betting, casino gaming, sweepstakes), there is no single federal licensing body. Instead, each state that permits certain forms of gambling establishes its own oversight framework. When an operator claims licensure, we note what they state publicly. We do not publish license numbers, corporate addresses, or the names of regulatory bodies for the operator, since these details are assertions made by the operator themselves and should be verified directly by readers through official sources.

How We Rate

We assess operators across several dimensions. Responsible gambling tools matter to us—we look for self-exclusion options, deposit limits, loss limits, and accessible information about problem gambling resources. We evaluate payment options for convenience and security, checking whether the advertised methods match what users encounter. Game selection and software quality receive attention, as do payout speeds and general user experience. We consider whether the operator is transparent about how it operates and whether user reports, where available, align with the operator’s public claims.

Ratings reflect our assessment of these factors as of the review date. They represent our editorial judgment, not a guarantee of future performance or compliance. We do not rate based on promotional offers, since those change frequently and vary by location.

Updates and Reassessments

We revisit our assessments when operators make material changes to their platforms, terms of service, or publicly disclosed practices. If you believe an operator’s circumstances have changed materially since our review, we welcome your feedback through the contact form on this site.

What We Don’t Review

We do not evaluate an operator’s finances, legal structure, or corporate ownership. We do not audit compliance with regulations in any jurisdiction. We do not publish detailed datasets of user complaints unless directly relevant to factual claims in our review. If you experience gambling-related difficulty, the National Problem Gambling Helpline provides free, confidential support 24/7 at 1-800-MY-RESET or through text and chat services.
